LPA 7 - Objection to the Public Guardian of LPA registration
Use this document to object to the registration of a lasting power of attorney (LPA) if you are one of the attorney's 'people to notify' (also known as 'people to be told' or 'named persons') listed in the LPA as requiring notification of any proposed registration. A lasting power of attorney (LPA) only comes into effect when the document is registered. However, before registration can go through, notification must be made to all those listed (if any) in the lasting power of attorney as 'people to notify'. These people have 3 weeks from the date of the notification to object to the registration, along with the attorney(s) listed in the LPA if they were not the one(s) who applied for registration.
